On Saturday, 29th August, the 10th Guild Government of Kabale University, led by H.E. Justus Drake Kyarikunda, hosted the Interfaculty Quiz Competition aimed at promoting academic excellence and intellectual engagement among students. The competition was organized by the Ministry of Education led by Hon. Minister Serremba Mujjuzi Nicholas.
The highly competitive quiz attracted over 12 faculties from Kabale University, with students testing their knowledge and skills across categories including Medicine, Geography, Entertainment, Sports, General Science, Agriculture, Current Affairs, Politics, ICT, and Literature.
Kabale School of Medicine (KABSOM) emerged champions, retaining the Interfaculty Quiz crown for the second consecutive time. The victory further strengthens KABSOM’s reputation as an academic powerhouse, having been champions of the African Inter-University Medical Quiz for three consecutive times — a record that reflects a strong culture of excellence and winning tradition.
The Faculty of Education secured second place, followed by Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) in third position, while the Faculty of Engineering completed the top four in fourth place.
The competition provided a platform for students from different disciplines to showcase their intellectual abilities, teamwork, and commitment to academic excellence. It also served as preparation for the upcoming Inter-University Ultimate Quiz organized by Vision Group and sponsored Bank Of Uganda
